Exactly what I wanted and beautiful to look at!
After watching all the cooking shows on TV and they keep salt and pepper in containers for you to fetch and sprinkle, I decided I had enough salt and pepper shakers. It is exactly what I was hoping for and looks beautiful. Only criticism is that the lid just sits on it and isn't airtight, which of course makes it easier to quickly remove the lid to get salt or pepper, but I don't know if the salt starts to stick together.
