Since the birth of my son, they have been formula-fed. Immediately after giving birth, I ended up in intensive care. I began to apply to the chest only at the end of 3 days. And we came home, being on mixed feeding. With the advent of the breast pump, my hopes for full breastfeeding have risen. I immediately unpacked the breast pump, sterilized it and started using it. What was my surprise when, in preparation for pumping, streams of milk splashed from the chest. But my happiness did not last long. The streams ran out, I tried all 3 pumping modes and got 20 ml of milk. At that moment I was very upset. For a moment, I even felt like a non-milk mother who had no chance of breastfeeding. The husband came to the rescue in time with support, and then the patronage nurse. She suggested pumping during breastfeeding and also during hot flashes. The first option went with a bang, but it was not convenient for me to give up everything during sudden tides. Also, both the nurse and the husband drew my attention to the fact that if the child feels well, sleeps calmly and "wets the diapers", then he is not hungry at all. I also learned that the appearance of a breast pump does not guarantee the appearance of a large amount of milk - it takes time, desire and fruitful work. I continued to pump during feedings and collect "milk supply". In addition, I offered my son the breast between feedings whenever possible, drank "magic" lactation tea and tried to remain calm under any circumstances. For 2 weeks of using the breast pump, I had the courage to remove 1 supplement out of 5. My son still sleeps well and "wet" the diapers, which means he has enough food and this makes him happy. But I don’t want to stop there and the transition to full GW remains my cherished goal. In conclusion, I would like to note that this breast pump will perfectly cope with the task of collecting a "milk bank". And it will help you do it easily and comfortably. And also, it can help in establishing GW, but in this case an integrated approach is desirable.
