Easy to open and close. I love how compact it is. The width of the product fitted my 2017 Subaru Forester edge to edge, but there was a huge gap from the rearview mirror to the top of the windshield. It was also difficult to tuck the blind under the rearview mirror to get a snug fit. I would recommend making a slot for the rearview mirror. I am returning it due to the large gap at the top of the product preventing it from reaching the top of my windshield. Hopefully I can find a better size. I have a 2017 Subaru Forester XT. I wouldn't recommend 56x31. Perhaps a larger size would be a better option.
