Review on πŸ”Š Enhance Your Car Audio Experience with KICKER 47KSC2704 KSC Series 2 3/4 Inch Midrange Speakers (Pair) by Shalom Germann

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Kicker is missing good instructions, ***Installation info below***

Finally another 2.75" option for the dash speakers which I have already added to Kicker 4-channel foosball amp feeding a 10" foosball comp subwoofer and two 6.5" foosball in-door speakers. I'm not a foosball fan but decided after buying the subwoofer and of the amp holding it all together. Firstly, the instructions suck. Includes 300Hz bass blocker, but the "manual(should look online, not in the box)" doesn't have any info on how to connect the capacitors. It didn't take me long to figure that out they had to be soldered but not everyone can. Soldering can be tricky as there isn't much room in the windshield. As I have a subwoofer I didn't want it to run at lower frequencies so bought one i PAC 600Hz Bass Blocker The routers come with pre-installed wires so you can crimp, twist or solder them to your liking. do you want. They're only about $10, better quality, and easier to install. Soldering is technically better, but I opt for wire nuts and tape as I think it's the easiest and never lets me down. The included brackets are perfect for my 2024 Silverado. The sound quality is excellent, even when using the original head unit. With 600Hz blockers, they glow with higher pitched tones and I can turn up the volume without risk of low frequency damage. I would recommend aftermarket blockers at 600hz instead of the included 300hz. Let your other big speakers play the lower notes. *** Installing Silverado (2014-2018 and possibly newer) but useful tips for others *** Tools used: Plastic stripping tool kit for 10mm wires and 7mm sockets Exacto hobby knife Needle nose pliers (if needed) wire nuts (crimps or soldering iron of your choice) electrical tape. Assembly: Remove the covers from the handle with a pry bar (plastic trim from windshield to skin). 10mm removes screws with a hand bar. On the same panel, use the pry tool from above to remove a clip and the panel will pop out. Do the same on the driver's side (no handrail), start at the top and it will pop out. Use the plastic tool where the speaker girl is and go all the way to unclip ten tabs (they come out easily). Twist the dashboard globe from below and it will pop out and detach. Use 7mm to remove the retaining bolts holding the old speaker. (I used needle pointers for the one closest to the windshield (couldn't fit a ratchet, and I didn't have a 7mm wrench. Reach under the old speaker to pry it out of the case. Cut the wires closest to the attached bracket) to the speaker Use a precision knife (e.g. for models) to CAREFULLY cut any fabric that binds wires too tightly together to work with Black striped wires are always negative. Solid color is positive positive wire to the bass blocker and the bass blocker nut the other side to the positive wire from the speaker negative to the speaker negative with a nut if not check the connections tape all the nuts and wires together and fill the top and bottom see Look at the picture above, there is more than enough space Install both speakers, place them where the old ones are, and use them appropriate round metal caps (supplied). ) with 7mm screws that had original speakers. Assemble the three panels but don't forget to put the globe back into the center piece. If he falls, just reach where I was. Everything should fit together easily. Now everything is ready. Turn up the volume and enjoy the beautiful highs while we tune out the dangerous lows. Go inside, tell your wife how smart you are, and expect her to tell you that you're 43, not 19, and that you really aren't that smart.
