Light brown very coppery but a little dye and added purple didn't fix anything (I needed a shade or two darker so the color) It worked well and I don't notice any breakage, no shedding. Ducks itch, or are they all like that? This is my first Halo expansion, so I have no comparison. However, the thickness of the extensions added perfect volume to my fine mouse colored hair. However, I don't think this is enough for those who have good hair density and are not thick enough to add length. You stay in place and feel safe enough. Overall I think this is a great product at this price point.
