After receiving a full black belt kick in the front of my body during sparring (with the dojo-required referee-style chest pad not preventing severe pain), I began to wonder There was a women's version of the upper body sports shell that men said they wore. I figured the best idea would be a hard, almost armor-like breastplate, like the good old Valkyrie breastplate. This one seems to fit at a much cheaper price than the famous brand and it suits me too. I'm 5'1", 150lbs, 36D and a size L which is still a little full in the bust (even over a lightly padded bra) but otherwise fits and shouldn't be visible under a uniform or even now me could withstand almost any punch or kick thrown at my chest, such a relief after that painful experience!
