You have nothing special. When wildfires bothered me, they helped filter out some of these particles, as evidenced by their white fabric (on the back of the image) turning light gray. I haven't contracted COVID-19 either, so I guess it helps with that too, although I know masks are there to prevent those infected from spreading to others. They are also comfortable to wear over the ears. I'm taking off a star because they shrunk in the first two washes. They are still usable but noticeably smaller than when received.
