I have a TV, a Wii U and a USB cable that charges both my son's headphones and night light. The USB port is not getting enough power to charge his tablet on its own. The part that drives me nuts is that the USB makes a high pitched noise that almost sounds like a squeak. The first 3 months the cord was on the floor and I didn't notice it, but when I rearranged my room I put it on a 5ft high shelf about 5ft from the foot of my bed. As soon as I moved it I noticed a noise at night and I had to turn off the switch. When I charge something through the USB port or the TV is on, I don't hear any noise. It's enough to keep me awake and give me a headache. I've since bought one without USB ports and haven't had any issues.
