I think it would be perfect. I delayed opening it for a week thinking I would have to go to the laundry after opening to fluff it in the dryer, but I simply opened the vacuum bag and it inflated enough on its own to fit me. The material is fine; soft but not slippery, unlike the super grippy opposite extremes of some microfibers that make them impossible to slide into position. Contrary to some other reviewers I think the size is perfect, a full box and then some protrusions on each side; probably downstairs, but I like to pull the ceiling extra high. It still has more coverage than the blanket I'm replacing. The weight also seems perfect. I can't wait to sleep in it tonight! Regarding color issues (see my photos), I would personally say it's significantly less purple than the seller's photos, but I still like it. I wanted a purple shade, but I'm happy with a more neutral one. I've thrown in lavender flannel sheets and a few throw pillows so you can see the purple hues look great next to them. I haven't used champagne yet. FYI, they are light gray on the display side and dark on the insert side. UPDATE/EDIT: Right after I posted the review a few days ago, I found a sewing error/broken seams. It was a noticeable stain and I'm afraid if I try to fix it, or ask someone to fix it, it may not come out properly. More importantly, I'm afraid it will unravel even more when the day comes that I need to wash it. So I plan to return it for an exchange once I get it back in the box. I hope to get a flawless one because I love it in every other way. Added another photo of the defect. Oh, and for the record, I delayed the additional opening by about 12 days instead of a week, but I still have time to return/exchange it. One star was removed from the original 5 star rating due to a stitching issue. Update 02/26/19: The replacement product has no defects. See 2 new photos above. The chenille pillows from the local Aldi in store looked silvery purple to me. According to the label, they are grey. I find this quilt shade really neutral, but if it appeals to you because it looks magenta in the seller's photos, you should definitely get it. It will appear more purple to you if you combine it with purple accents. If you don't want purple, I think you'll still be happy, just move your accents to the other end of the spectrum. To be honest I think I would buy it again in almost any color because it feels so luxurious. Perfect weight and coziness, warm but not hot. I bet it will be all season as they say, perfect for air conditioned weather too :) Can't wait for bedtime! :-)
