As a baker I have used countless measuring utensils for many years. I've seen and tried them all. Having stumbled across these measuring cups and spoons, I would only recommend them if you like these colorful types for many reasons: 1. Handle and cup are one piece. With other brands, the handle and cup are usually connected with tiny screws or bolts that usually break after a period of use. Also, after several washes, there will be rust spots inside the cup because the screws are not stainless steel.2. The handle is approximately 1.5mm thick and difficult to bend, with no sharp edges like thinner steels3. Rectangular spoons are very handy as they can be slipped into narrow spice jars which makes life a lot easier and I've tried double ended spoons which I found difficult and impractical especially when the spice jar is half empty because you have to reach for the middle of the spoon 4. The dimensions engraved on the steel are preserved and are not washed off
