Update: The manufacturer contacted me shortly after I posted the review and offered to refund the charger. I appreciate their initiative and may give them another chance._ _ _I bought this charger as a spare a few months ago. I started using it because I mostly work from home now and it sucks to unplug/plug/lug the main charger from room to room. Unfortunately, after just a few days, I noticed that it was beginning to noticeably melt - so much so that I could see the metal underneath the plastic. It still works as a charger, but I really don't want to find out how long I can use it before it starts a fire. How much licking it takes to get to the heart of pop, some things are best left unknown.
