I have a 2017 HP Specter 360 that was having issues with its USB-C charging port. The problem was that the laptop was powered off and wouldn't turn back on. I bought a computer toolkit from Revain to open up the laptop so I can store data on a 1TB M.2 NVME SSD in case I can't get the laptop working again. Then I bought a Samsung 980 Pro PCIe 4.0 NVME M.2 1TB drive. As it turns out, the original Samsung factory installed drive was 1TB, 952.82GB to be exact, while the new 980 Pro is 931.50GB and didn't work in the Sabrent cloner. I already knew the target had to be larger than or equal to the original dive. Ok, I bought a 2BT Samsung 980 Pro. (Note: These are expensive drives and I may use them later when my current problem is resolved.) I followed Sabrent's simple cloning instructions. I saw the light flash for about 30 seconds and then left. I came back after about 4-5 minutes and the cloning was already done. I was surprised. I connected the Sabrent to my wife's laptop and the new drive had identical directories. I called it good. For what I wanted, the Sabrent was a great device. The physical quality of the device is excellent, no tools are required to open or close it. No tools are required to install discs. Simple and easy. Well, as far as drive size goes, if Sabrent finds a way around that small discrepancy in drive size, they're going to have something really special. I had no issues with heat or fan noise. I didn't punish the fan for noise at all. I can't say anything negative, he did what he wanted.
