Wish I had this the year I decided to make three pots of chopped roasted root vegetables for Thanksgiving. I literally spent hours meticulously slicing different types of beets, sweet potatoes, parsnips, turnips and whatever else I could get my hands on so the colors blended well. Fast forward to finally buying it this year and I've found excuses to use it almost every day! I can't believe I wasted so much time earlier when this item is AMAZING value and will save you so much time and effort. Plus, the benefit alone of "not slipping on the top of an irregularly shaped vegetable and nearly cutting off your finger” is worth it! Edit: For an honest and accurate review, after a few more uses, I went back to edit my review. Now I find I have a hard time moving the slider to change the thickness of the slices. He really refuses to move himself with much effort. I have to ask my boyfriend for help every time and luckily he can. This is a cheap product so what did I expect? All in all, it's still a very useful product!
