I got these for my 11 year old daughter with an October birthday. The pair I received has each layer of the tree a different color -- blue, then white, green and the top is pink. It is hard to describe how pretty and attractive they are. I am sure the opals are simulated, but they are bright and sparkly and eye catching and the colors go together very well. The silver finish is shiny and bright and I was unable to find any spots that weren't covered. The earrings are light so they don't hurt your ears, they swing nicely when worn.My only criticism is the tiny and cheap backs. They are hard to get on and flimsy. Once I swapped them out for a standard sized pair of backs they worked much better.The earrings arrived in individual zip lock baggies to avoid scratches to the finish. They were in a red lidded box trimmed with a white Christmas ribbon. The box had black spongy in the bottom and a tiny piece of jewelry cleaning cloth, all of which was put in a zip lock bag. I would say with the plastic bag removed it is giftable packaging.
