As a longtime Scott 1000 Single Ply user, the TP crisis has forced me to use other brands as Scott is often unavailable. Most of the bad reviews are from people who are used to 2 or 3 layers and didn't understand the difference before buying. The single layer is not suitable for donating rolls that do not turn very easily, it is not strong enough to pull hard without tearing the sheets. It also requires more sheets to work, unlike some thicker brands. However, for those who are used to individual layers, this is a decent fabric. It appears to be about the same thickness as Scott's, but it's important to note that the blades are slightly smaller at 0.2 inches wide. 1/5 inch may not seem like much, but multiplied by 1000 it's 16.6666 feet shorter per roll. Take this into account when comparing. 54 shorter sheets per roll than Scott, which means just over 5 rolls fewer than the same sized pack of 96 Scott rolls. In general, this applies to those who are already used to single-ply napkins. I was happy to receive it at a time when most of tp's seats were sold out. Thanks Revin
