so glad i got this for a $10 deal as if paying full price would return it asap. It's very cheap and thin. The lid was difficult to remove with the instruction manual in the closed press. Who is the genius that thought this was a good idea? Just print the opening instructions on the damn outer box. Not being able to remove the glass from the frame for cleaning is just poor design in my opinion and a potential health hazard due to mold growth between the frame and glass. I went as far as removing 2 small pins at the top to see if the plastic cup comes loose and if so it's not obvious or easy. I stopped taking it apart for fear of damaging it as I figured I'd have to use it once before breaking it. Having used a French Bodum glass press until the glass shattered after decades of use, despite the negative reviews I felt confident in purchasing this item (rather than just getting a replacement glass) and I am sorry for the past Experiences with this brand cloud missed my opinion. In short, at full price, this is an overpriced POS. I will not buy this brand again as it has gone really bad.
