Unfortunately this would make a great craft and gift for my daughter but after excitedly decorating her lantern and waiting for everything to dry, we went to set up batteries in the cover to light it up and found that the battery compartment is not assembled properly. Where there should be a spring for the negative end in one of the battery compartments, there is another positive end making it completely useless. After waiting so long for the magic lantern to light up and my daughter's hard work, there is no way to light it.
