****Original review June 2013 - Original review 3 stars**** I'm not a big coffee drinker but I need a reliable coffee machine if I have company Coffee machine works very well! Brewing a full pot takes about 7-10 minutes but is always delicious. Love the feature that allows you to take the coffee pot out of the machine during the brewing process - that helps with my overzealous guests :-) I love the aesthetic of this coffee maker and plan on keeping it but I don't know whether I would buy it again. Several reasons: 1. The clock is very bright, does not dim and does not turn off in standby mode. I have an open floor plan in my apartment and when I have guests in the living room they say it shines bright enough like a night light. Process. I found myself splashing water the most.****Added March 2016 - changed to 1 star****As I said, I personally don't drink much coffee. I use it once a month on average. After 2 years of ownership (approx. 24 uses) the coffee maker no longer switched off. The coffee machine is now on the counter, not on the socket. If I want to make coffee, I have to put coffee and water in the coffee maker before plugging it in. As soon as I turn it on, it starts brewing. I no longer have the ability to set power, hours, or anything else. As soon as the coffee is ready (about 15-20 minutes after the brewing process starts), I have to unplug the coffee pot, otherwise it keeps trying to brew using water vapor that is in the body of the coffee maker. It is also prone to mold. Every time after using it I have to leave the lid of the coffee maker open to make sure the inside is completely dry to prevent brewing. It still works and I don't use it often enough to replace it, but I'm very disappointed in this device.
