So. I first installed it on my 2011 Kia Optima. Due to the apparent problems with the spade terminals disconnecting or losing contact (see numerous other reviews); I decided to connect them directly to the existing headlight wiring. This required me to completely remove the headlight assembly (which was quite a labor intensive job). Everything fitted together well and looked great when assembled. The headlights look very good from the outside. Beautiful and white. When driving at night (just when we need light), however, they don't "throw" much light onto the road. I even upped the level to keep getting more light (if that makes sense). They just don't give off enough light to be a good replacement for the factory bulbs. Those aren't the lights you want when navigating the curves of the Smoky Mountains at night (which I did, and it was difficult). I wasn't expecting much due to the relatively cheap price and I didn't get much either.
