The people who leave bad reviews aren't smart consumers and obviously didn't take the time to watch the instructional video with photos. There are also very unrealistic expectations for slush in general. Of course, freezing takes an hour, of course, there are many steps involved. Don't rate a car badly because you don't understand it or are too lazy. This is a great machine for making slush at home. It's great fun for kids and adults, just not always at the same time. It's a LOT of work to get it working, a lot of ice and ice salt. But a great result. Highly recommended!
