Glad I found out before I installed it. The magnet does NOT hold the Samsung S21+ in the relatively thin Otterbox. In fact, I took the phone out of the case and it didn't even hold the case! It's no stronger than a cheap fridge magnet. Direct GARBAGE! UPDATE: The company contacted me and they sent another one to check if the first one was just defective, but unfortunately the result was the same. The magnet only works when in direct contact with the supplied metal plate. If you clip the strip into a phone case, the magnet will hardly recognize it. I also currently have a Maxboost magnet that doesn't have this issue.
