I recently did a very big upgrade to my home theater and changed the layout of the units. This caused my subwoofer to be out of range of one of my UPSs. As a subwoofer I didn't need a UPS anyway, just something to protect against power outages. It's been working great for the past few weeks, I recommend removing just the middle screw, it doesn't really need that support as long as you're pressing it against the wall when you unplug the device. I want to comment on the most negative review. here, about the death of the subwoofer. What everyone needs to understand is that there are different types of surges. Surge protectors and UPS will try to save your equipment by literally sacrificing themselves, but there are limits. Sufficiently high overvoltages rarely reach the protection and destroy devices, so these devices are covered by a good warranty.
