Many people complain about the use of forged pistons in 2-stroke engines, but when the cylinder is properly machined they work very well. Allow the engine to warm up to operating temperature before hitting the gas pedal and you should be fine. This is a fantastic little fork and I will definitely be buying again if the top is needed again.
