The water turn on switch does not work half the time. Requires shaking of the actuator to turn on most times. So if you plan to put this somewhere where you want it to turn on automatically, or even stay running reliably until an area is drained.this is not the pump for you. It will shut off randomly, you have to keep checking it and pulling it out to shake the actuator. It has also very weak push to the water stream. I was not going uphill at all but it would only push the water through 25ft max of garden hose. I wanted to drain it to my front yard ditch, but no water would come out. Had to reroute and use a very short hose to get it to work. Very low volume as well.required 2 days to drain a small pond in my back yard, that would take about 2 hours to fill with a garden hose. It works.but I would not buy it again.
