After my previous kettle stopped working, I ordered this one. I use it almost every day. There were many reviews about stains on the bottom of the kettle but I didn't notice that. I always make sure there is always some water in it after use so the heat doesn't burn off the remaining moisture, that could be the reason but I can't say for sure. The noise level is average for a kettle. The cable appears to be about 18 inches long. Pros: Looks really stylish, much prettier than most kettles. It is easy to attach and detach from the base and is very durable. It does not drip when watered. . This is a huge problem that I have encountered when using kettles in the past. warming function. It's really great. I've only used it once but some people might use it all the time to see how strong the repellency was and now it's permanently lost in the lid. With one button less, it hasn't compromised the lid's ability to stay closed during pouring. So no problem with functionality, just a disappointment. No button to open lid. All of my previous kettles had buttons to open the lid, which was incredibly handy. it doesn't, but it has a notch on the lid to make it easy to open. The lid does not stick open. This is my biggest disappointment with this kettle. Once you open the lid, all you have to do is tilt the kettle a little to close the lid again. This is very annoying when filling the kettle. Since I have to hold the kettle with one hand and keep the lid open with the other, this means I have to turn on the water first and wipe off any water that has gotten in from the outside before I put the kettle back on the base.
