After a six year hiatus, I pulled out my naphthalene bike and started riding again. I already had a nice leather racing saddle on my bike. It used to be comfortable when I was used to running 50-100 miles or more a week, but since it had minimal padding, it was insanely painful after a long break. I decided I needed something more comfortable if I was going to stay on the bike and increase my mileage almost beyond what I was previously doing. After reading very positive reviews I decided to try this saddle. I consider this experiment an absolute success. When I opened the box, I thought at first that the padding might be too soft. It's not like this. For a big, burly man like me (compared to most cyclists) it's durable enough that it doesn't feel flimsy when riding, but still offers a definite improvement in comfort over what I've used before. In short, the ARS saddle fully met my needs, ie reduced the pain! As some reviewers have pointed out, I'm not sure how well the lycra fabric will hold up over time, but for now this saddle serves my needs and does. Perfect. For the price, it's hard to beat. I highly recommend this saddle if you are in my situation or a similar situation. Riders and other high mileage enthusiasts will likely want to stick with more expensive saddles (at higher prices), but I doubt they'll be reading this review anyway. For the rest of us, this saddle definitely deserves a look.
