I am Korean-American 일세대 (1st Generation) and have been a Tarot practitioner personally and professionally for over 17 years. Although I've lived in Korea for six years, I don't speak Hangul very well, but Korean culture has always been a big part of my life in America. I've been waiting for years, hoping for some Korean decks that I seem to have translated into English. As far as I know, Prime Muse's Secret of The Kingdom Oracle is the first book available in the West that deals with historical pictures of the Joseon Dynasty! It also comes with a bilingual guide (Korean and English)! This oracle is massive with 82 fully illustrated cards exclusive to this deck! Everywhere you look you will see a high level of detail such as: B. Card edges and the inside of the box with Hunminjonggeum, which made Hangul the language of Korea. The cards are slightly shorter and wider than standard tarot size. The smooth matte finish makes it easy to take glare-free photos for friends and clients! The cards and magnetic flip box are durable, just like what you want to get on an expensive Kickstarter! Gorgeous golden gilding on the edges of the cards AND the edges of the cards - extra detailing that I love! The English language in the black and white guide is excellent. Searching for cards is easy thanks to the card numbers. Each card has two pages, Korean and English, detailing the images and the meaning of the card. I learned so much about Korean history, technology, famous places and life during the Joseon Dynasty from an informative guide! 아저씨 will be happy to have a turtle boat on the deck (just kidding)! Personally, I can only read intuitively. When I saw Yutnori's New Year game, I felt nostalgic too! As a feminist, it was a little uncomfortable to see a woman on deck who wasn't a princess or widow as a concubine or servant, but I know this is a reality of the past and I prefer to learn from her experiences. I really appreciate a good combination of 'positive' and 'negative' cards that reflect the true balance of life. I would definitely recommend this high quality deck to anyone interested in Korean history and pictures! wants to recognize that whether you are a full Korean, mixed-race Korean, or adopted Korean, you are a part of our culture (if you choose to be).
