Review on 🚪 TOGU TG2814YG-AB Brass UL Listed 220-degree Door Viewer with Privacy Cover for 1-3/8" to 2-1/6" Doors, Antique Bronze Finish - Enhanced SEO by Dennis Brinson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy installation. wide angle view.

I needed 2 door viewers for 2 outside doors in my house. With over 1000 peephole listings on Revain I figured I would have to read as many reviews before deciding what to buy. I knew I didn't want to spend more than $10 each, so that narrowed things down a bit. I ended up going for this one (I think it was a Revain bestseller or something), but I just bought one to make sure it was what I wanted. It arrived in just a few days and was in perfect condition. No scratches, no dents, no cracks. It easily unscrews into 2 pieces so you can insert each piece on either side of the door, screw back on and tighten the door. It states that you must use a 9/16" drill bit (or spade) on your door to install the peephole. I didn't have it on hand, but I did have a 5/8" drill bit. I used that and it installed easily. The 1/16" difference didn't matter. There are even 2 small cutouts on one end, to tighten it in the door. The wide angle works and gives you a nice wide view of your porch or any other view.I was able to see a lot more than I expected. The peep hole cover on the inside is a nice touch though you can't see inside if you look through the peep hole on the outside so double the security if that worries you no one can see what's inside through that peep hole this is a very good buy at $8 for $8 you have it Peace of mind knowing you can figure out who's knocking on your door late at night BEFORE you open the door. Me, that's a lot. I just ordered a second one for my tailgate. If you're looking for a little extra security and can't afford any of the new video doorbells and can't see who's knocking without opening your door, this should be a must have for you.
