Turned a TV without a picture into a TV good enough for the garage.
I saw a YouTube video where someone replaced the original strips with these lights and they had light stripes when reassembled. I placed my strips about 1" apart and got fairly even coverage. Ordered (2) 33' rolls and used about 1 and 1/2 for a 42".I tried putting a strip on one of the angled sides but it put a bright stripe on the edge because the LEDs were too close to the panel. I unsoldered that strip and opted to go with a less noticeable dim outside edge.Upside is a working TV for the garage. Downside is having to turn on the LEDs and the TV. Maybe one of those fancy power-saving powerstrips would turn on the LEDs power supply when it senses the TV powering on?
