I have fine short/medium hair and was looking for a hairbrush that is appropriate for daily standard care. I googled what features are ideal in a brush for fine hair, found the best of the best was $250+ and immediately headed to Best Buy to see who could offer the closest experience at a price that wouldn’t require financing.This brush arrived about an hour ago and there is a lot that I love about it, but one of the details I appreciate the most wasn’t on the brush, it was on the packaging. There is a tamperproof sticker on the outside of the box that confirms you’re not buying a used product from Best Buy. For whatever reason, the last few years I’ve had horrible experiences with personal products arriving in pretty gross condition from Best Buy due to their unregulated sellers. (If you don’t know, check out YouTube to learn where and how 3rd party sellers / resellers get their products to sell on Best Buy. Gross.)The fact this brand included this feature on their sturdy gift box packaging was an awesome surprise and much appreciated.Okay, now for the brush: Its lighter than expected but that’s not necessarily a bad thing - just an observation. The boar bristles are attached to a soft rubber or silicone pad that allows them to easily bend if caught which helps prevent breakage to weak or damaged hair. After brushing my hair for the first time, my hair is SO soft. This was a pleasant surprise. Also, there was almost no hair in the brush. It left everything nicely attached to my head which is exactly where it should be. :-)I will say if you haven’t used a brush like this before it’s a different sensation than a regular nylon brush. It won’t cut through layers of hair and pull tangles out. You need to move your head and hair around while brushing. As they say in their literature "This isn’t a styling brush. This is a daily care brush.” I’m paraphrasing, but that’s the gist.Anyhow, I look forward to having this brush for a long time. I also dig the head wrap that came with it. I have a few styles of these but didn’t have a Velcro "spa style” wrap and I can already tell I will be using this as much as the brush. The comb will come in handy for anyone that experiences tangles and the bag I’m sure will be nice for travel.
