The machine works well and is a great value since it comes with pieces to make 1000 buttons. Now, I have had an 11% fail rate, and I do take the time to run the steps through smoothly, it seems to be a failure between the sealing of the plastic to the metal piece in the first step. I've made about 230 and I've had about 27 flop straight from the machine or eventually come apart becore getting in the designated baggie. It's still a really cool machine to learn with and if its for hobby purposes and to do smaller batches at once it is a great deal.
