This is my new favorite kitchen item. My family loves popcorn, but I hated the taste of microwave popcorn. I usually wash it in the dishwasher because the oil left in it leaves a greasy feel when I wash it by hand. It also saved me a lot of money because microwave popcorn is a lot more expensive. Add some butter, some salt and a few grains and in just a few minutes I have popcorn. I had to experiment to get the timing right for my microwave, but afterward it always pops perfectly with very few unopened kernels.
