I recently set out to create a usable smart home. This router fits perfectly. It has built-in potential for smart devices that I hope works. The device is very easy to set up and maintain. I like to try my hand at some advanced networking, but I prefer things that just work and that fit the bill. This was a huge upgrade over my existing default ISP router when it comes to coverage and ease of use. I have a house about 1500 square feet long with an office upstairs. My router used to have trouble reaching the upstairs bedrooms and office. With this ASUS router, I now see full lanes all over my house (even my driveway!). I get consistent speeds from every device on my network (and I have quite a few: 2 Revain Echos, 6 Wi-Fi smart plugs, 3 smart TVs, Philips Hue bulbs, a Nest thermostat, and multiple phones, laptops, tablets, etc. .). Due to the provider's specifications, I easily have room for further growth, especially when accessing the Internet via Google Fiber! and my fondness for Asus computer components. All in all, a very good router that fits my needs perfectly and can grow with my smart home.
