I bought this cable along with the cheaper StarTech 3ft Slim 3.5mm Stereo Short Cable, I will compare the two cables but first the pros and cons. Pros: Transmissions are clear and sound clear. The head is thinner than some and has a beveled rise that can help get the jack into hard-to-reach places (like my phone case). StarTech 6ft 3.5mm Stereo Audio Cable - M/M - DX3113 vs. MonoPrice: Although the StarTech cable is very thin and flexible, I tested it with my Samsung Galaxy S3 connected to the Aux Plugged into jack in my car, and found the Monoprice cable to be much better. When testing how snugly they fit my phone with a case, the StarTech seems to fit my phone snugly, but the mono price cable has excellent sound, clear and loud, at full volume the sound seems to surround well. The Startech cable doesn't carry the same volume, at full volume it's not that loud and I wanted more. Also when I stopped the music the StarTech cable made a static noise while the Monoprice cable doesn't play any sound when the music doesn't play this tells me that the Startech cable lacks the right quality insulation and materials that this includes the cable mono price. . The monocene cable is thicker and not as flexible, but offers a much better listening experience. Spend a few bucks more on this cable!
