Perfect and accurate!

I love this cutter. It does exactly what I need. I'm tired of going to the printer to make the cut, paying them money, and then cutting unevenly or at an angle. My products are for resale and cuts like this make them unacceptable. After a lot of research and answering questions from some other buyers here, I settled on this paper cutter. I primarily cut 80lb (216gsm) cards for greeting cards, but I also cut 24lb and 32lb text or writing paper for notepads. I have a rotary blade paper cutter that I like, but it's not capable of cutting 500-1000 sheets of paper. That's where this one comes into play. Using 80lb cardstock I cut about 50 sheets at a time. Fraser is doing a great job. There are two ways to align the paper and hold it securely. If both are good and tight, there is no slippage. I was so excited to get the results I made. I also cut out 100 sheets of cardboard and the machine did the job. It was my hand that was having a hard time cutting through so much. I had to use two hands. I see no difference in the machine's ability to accurately cut any quantity. As one reviewer suggested, you need to place a piece of cardboard or cardboard on top and bottom of the stack. After the first few cuts, the floor is no longer needed as the oil or residue will disappear from the floor. The top should still be in place as it will absorb the dent caused by tightening the lever that secures the stack of paper. I use cheaper cardstock for the covers. These add-ons are good for sample cards if needed. Several reviewers have mentioned the lack of instructions and I agree. Basically, they are not used for the operation and handling of the cutting plotter. He has instructions on how to change the blade if needed, so I'm happy with that. The problem I had in the beginning was that the front rightmost handle, the part that allows you to adjust the height of the locking bar, was pushed back for transport. I couldn't figure out how to do it properly until I noticed there was an allen wrench in the bag with a couple of screws. Then I saw that the handle was attached with a hex head screw. All I had to do was remove the screw and rearrange the handle so that the convex part was on the outside instead of turned in. (Sounds so easy now. Can I get this? It would be easier to explain with a diagram.) This is the part that is on the right side and the handle is a black, almost J-shaped part. (I'm not referring to the large straight handle used for cutting.) The large cutting handle has no screws and simply slides over the 4 inch barrel on the right rear side of the cutter. It can be easily removed and set aside when not in use. This is a security feature that I like. There is a safety lock on the back to prevent the cutting blade from accidentally falling off the large handle. Before you start cutting, press the round extension and this will release the handle lock. Lower the handle a little before releasing it or it will lock again. Another security feature I appreciate. I hope this helps anyone who is contemplating the purchase and needs further guidance. It's worth the price in my experience and for what I need. It is built for heavy use and is ideal for small offices or even home use or anyone serious about cutting. I am very happy with this tailor. This allows you to quickly cut a large number of sheets of paper.
