Let me start by saying that I'm by no means a turntable expert or a vintage vinyl maker, I'm just a girl standing in front of a turntable and asking it not to sound terrible and be nice. By the way, this Crosley is by far my favorite piece of furniture. It has a very hip vibe without the high price tag of a true vintage player and I personally think it sounds great, much louder than a Crosley portable case. Legs also come off if you want to make your hipster friends jealous at the party. There's also an extra cable connection if you don't already have your favorite music in a recording format. In general, for my needs is quite suitable. It suits my mid-century modern decor and I hear it in every room of my house.
