A New Appliance Needs New Extras

Over the past year, I was hearing great things about the new small kitchen appliances - the Instant Pot and the Air Fryer. Can't afford both so I decided on the Air Fryer. Then it was realizing there were a lot of "additions" that this new appliance needed. From new plastic utensils, smaller pot holders, to small mini-sized baking ramekins, the extras needed to use your new Air Fryer grows. One of the necessities, was to line the basket with parchment to ease retrieving your food and to make it less work to clean. These liners come in square and round shapes to fit the basket size.I ordered these unbleached parchment liners and they've worked very well. Because the air circulates in the basket, you need to assure the liner is held down with food otherwise it flies up into the heating element when cooking. The holes are to help with this situation but the holes also let any sauce or juices drip in/on to the basket. Even though this happens, the clean up is still minimal. The parchment is thin to cover the bottom but strong enough that you can lift up the cooked food, although I use a small potholder to lift a ramekin. It's convenient to have it already cut and sized with holes which beats cutting every time you need a liner. These liners work well on baking sheets in my regular oven. These were a great buy with 100 pieces in one order, It's been a few months and I don't use my fryer as often as others, but when I do, I'm glad I have these liners as part of my cooking options.

Pros
  • These are a perfect fit for my air fryer. Saves time cleaning after each use!!
Cons
  • This liner caught on fire in my air fryer. Be careful
