Still in the original packaging. You could tell the case that houses the fan on/off switch was broken, you just couldn't tell how bad it was until you took it out of the factory-sealed packaging. As soon as you opened it, the entire panel around the fan switch fell apart into several pieces! Although the light part works fine. If there was a way to easily remove the fan part that could be used, but as the entire casing around the fan part fell apart after it was taken out of the box the fan part is just hanging by the wires!
