I have no experience with electronics but I've seen enough videos on YouTube and I thought I could handle this job. Separating the digitizer from the block turned out to be more difficult than I expected. Keep in mind that as suggested in only one of the videos I've seen, I think you need to use heat to soften the adhesive to remove the old digitizer. I ended up removing this part with no heat, but only with the very latest option, a rotary knife. After that I thought I installed the new digitizer correctly. Of course I didn't do everything I could to remove all the old glue, but as a follow up to the last step I connected the new digitizer and secured it firmly with some (not included) double sided tape. I snapped open the back cover, turned on the unit, heard the familiar sound of my Lenovo tablet springing to life, but there was no image, no image at all.
