Review on 🐿️ AUDUBON 16-Inch Squirrel Baffle - NACLBAF16 Product by Eric Speers

Wanted a large canopy for my hummingbird feeder but couldn't find a diameter larger than 12 inches. My feeder is 10-11 inches in diameter and I needed better coverage. This dome/baffle is 16" in diameter and works very well to protect my feeder. (If I shortened the feeder hanger a bit it would provide excellent weather protection.) I wanted it to attract birds and too offers some weather protection so I spray painted the underside with Krylon Stained Glass Colored Paint A few light coats and it looked like it was made that way Since it wasn't being used as a squirrel baffle I attached the canopy with one thick bead of RTV silicone on the hanger.This is to stabilize the dome in the wind and prevent raindrops from hitting the feeder.Since the hanger also serves as a mount for use as a rod baffle, I made a small disc shaped cover, to protect the hanger hook from rain dripping through this piece.I have attached two photos.One with a painted dome and one with a picture of a hanger washer. I've only been using this dome for 2-3 months. I usually wait a lot longer to see how the product is performing before writing a review. I guess I'll push this a bit if there are other people looking for a similar solution. In this respect I am very satisfied with this product and can only recommend it. I'll probably order a few more of these to attach to my regular bird feeders to keep out the rain. I'm tired of cleaning up moldy, damp, growing seeds when a good rain saturates the seeds at the bottom of my feeders.
