This is my first time using a dipping powder and I have to say I'm impressed with how long lasting and thick this nail polish feels. I used a different brand of base coat, activator and top coat so that has a lot to do with the finish and durability of this polish. I also like how quick the process is. The drying time even with a top coat is much faster than with a regular varnish. If you are also a beginner, a few tips: 1) Watch a few videos first before you start. To make your nails look like the pictures, you need to follow certain steps. 2) Make sure you have all the tools you need (only powders in this kit) 3) Put some paper towels under the powder container! FYI, the colors you see with the naked eye are not the colors that end up in the finished product. It will be much darker, and sometimes, as in the case of a turquoise-blue transition to dark green, it will have a completely different hue. The colors on the product page that correspond to the dipping powder container are correct, so take a look. After activation, the colors become bright and beautiful. Even if I apply two coats of top coat, the surface of the nail becomes smooth. No stains, even with glitter. I'm taking off a star because I wish the containers were bigger. If I cover the whole nail, the powder will fall out on the sides, which is a waste of time.
