I am a reloader. Working at 0.001 inch is critical. This is my third caliper and it does everything I need. I really like the choice of battery. LR44 batteries can be bought in bulk at affordable prices compared to the larger lithium batteries which cost $4 each. I believe the adjusting screw is critical. I set the size I need, set the screw and turn it off. If I look for 3-415 inches and set my dies as soon as I get them, each piece should be 3.415 inches. Adjusting the gap and checking the correct size does not require a battery. My previous two calipers were destroyed by the flood. This one suits my use and I can order a replacement as a backup. I used to have two.
