There is a learning curve to adjusting the size and the removal and application process. That being said the difference between walking my medium size dog was night and day after use. My trainer recommended a prong collar and it has made walking her a joy. It is not painful I’ve used it on my neck it’s just pressure. If you’re afraid to use it consult a dog trainer to help you.We watched several YouTube tutorials to figure out how to remove links and apply the collar and remove after our training session. The key for us was using the link closest to the O & D rings, squeezing the prong near the bend and pulling up as we removed. Over time it does get easier promise. But you’re going to feel like you’re weak the first few attempts.Overall this is a great price and my trainer recommended it.
