I bought a couple of these units to expand my KX-TG5100 base unit. Setup was easy, as was phonebook syncing. The tubes are identical to those supplied with the base unit. I've found hands-free calling on phones to be a great feature. I also like the simplicity of the user interface. The batteries that come with the devices are terrible and will not hold a charge after six months; However, I found the Energizer ER-P511 to be a great battery replacement for the Panasonic P-P511 that comes out of the box and is fairly cheap, somewhere between $10 and $20. As for the class action lawsuit, most of the phones listed are Panasonic's 2.4GHz models, ranging from the KX-TG22 to the KX-TG27; You've probably seen these phones piling up in droves at Costco or Walmart. I have had a KX-TG5100 5.8GHz device for almost two years and have never had any problems with interference, loss of contact or keyboard errors.
