I wasn't sure from the start. Similar products cost about $100 more and are only priced at $35, while this product says it can handle $50. I have 4 monitors and a stand, totaling just over Β£40. It surprisingly treats her like a champ. So when I say I can get a heavier weight product for a lower price, I totally agree. Getting the riser up doesn't help much at first, but once you get up a few inches the pistons kick in and help get it the rest of the way up. The same applies to the descent. With that much weight it will be slow at first, but it will just fall quickly and hit you if you let go when there are a few inches left. Although it is durable and easy to work with. Even without locking it you can lift and slide it all the way up without lowering the riser, I thought I'd still lock it for longer use at that weight. I've only had it for a few days so I'll update if anything happens to change my mind. In addition, this is exactly what I was looking for, at the right price. **Update: Two other people in my office bought them after me. Everyone had the same great experience as me.
