Very accurate single sensor scale that is easy to use

I started using the Noom app at the end of June 21st. Simple lessons taught me how to count calories to lose weight. The application's database contains over 1 million foods: raw foods such as chicken breasts; packaged foods you buy at the store and meals at the restaurant. It tells me how many calories are in a given number of ounces, grams, and other units of measurement. I decided to research the scale because it makes it so much easier to figure out how many calories I'm consuming. I ordered this scale after browsing others for about 45 minutes. I chose this one because it had an attractive design, compact form factor, and used a regular AA or AAA battery (I can't remember which) instead of the more complicated and expensive button battery. First off, I chose this scale because it uses a single load cell in the center rather than multiple sensors around the base. You might think that multiple sensors are better than one, but the opposite is true. You can watch product videos to find out why. This makes these scales very accurate. It's fun to add little bits of food or liquid and see how delicate it is. I also tested the scale by comparing the scale readings to the serving size listed on the packaging. An example was a package of store-bought yogurt. I scooped the yogurt into an empty container that had been "zeroed" on the scale and compared it to what was stated on the package. Everything was in order. I love this scale. It was a gift to myself that kept me on track. The (small) investment was worth it. Five stars.
