Difficult to assemble but worth it

I just got 2 new ferrets and decided to use this cage instead of regular ferret cages because I like trash cans that make bathroom cleaning easier instead of scraping poop off the bars. . I have to say that I like the structure best. When assembled it seems much larger and the fact that it has wheels is great. The ferrets are already enjoying the tunnels and hammocks, plus some extras I personally threw in that weren't in the package (I threw in a towel so they can hide and dig under it, and they sleep with their little heads on). It's common to worry about missing parts when reassembling, but we've actually had extras that are reassuring if something accidentally breaks when it needs to be taken apart for a thorough clean. HOWEVER, my dissatisfaction and annoyance come with the assembly process. There are no words in the instructions just pictures for you to follow. I know for some this is all you need but love the words I need to say which part I use to set the bars for which layer and a bit more detail. There were a few extra inserts in the pack that even said they have a video to help you how to assemble the cage on their official Ferplast website which I found they don't have, at least I have not found it. Actually assembling is a PROCESS S. You will definitely need a friend or someone to help you assemble it, it took me and my mom about 3 hours to assemble it (but we tried to assemble it too). stick together and balance the work, so I would say a maximum of 2 hours if you have a lot of free time). Also, don't forget to compare the width of your door to the width of the cage to make sure it doesn't roll up the hard way like you'd hoped (bad luck on my part, but be careful). The water bottle that came with the cage looks good but found mine leaks/drip even when left alone to just sit there which I don't want to easily accumulate in the cage. One of the supplied ladders is also bent. It still works well, but since it doesn't fit properly on the floor, this is a personal issue for me. Overall this is a worthwhile purchase, the size makes it worth it. It's nice to know that my ferrets have enough space to share with each other. Just note that you'll need at least an extra hand or two to put this together and plenty of free time to do it in a reasonable amount of time.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad but...
