Lovely collection of kimono jerseys

Vicki Square has done it again with Knit Kimono Too. A great book for any knitter. The book begins with a brief history of the kimono, followed by beautiful drawings of the costumes. The patterns included in this collection are beautiful and there are so many that I will be happy to link to them. It's hard to pick my favorites, but I'll try. Roiyaru Fusuma Karaginu is elegant and a short jacket that can be used for both work and sleep. It's knitted with DK yarn and measures just 44 1/2 inches. Color - soft beige with a green tint. It is buttoned at the front and has a brocade style. Ao is a Japanese color and pattern name. in the book. The color is blue-green or turquoise. This sweater, with simple and elegant lines, can be used both for a more sober look and for a more elegant look. It is knit from sporty yarn and measures 35-51 inches. It is sleeveless and measures 35 inches from top to bottom. The neckline sets this sweater apart from others. It has a nice detail and is what is called a "flat dancer neckline". Murasaki Akai is bound in purple and red, which the author says is a royal color combination. It looks like a classic kimono and is knitted in short rows, creating a beautiful geometric pattern. Knitted from worsted yarn, it measures 49 inches and is 24 inches long. There is not a single pattern in this book that I would not like to knit. Most of them are designed for intermediate and advanced knitters, but there are also models for beginners. This book also comes with a DVD! I would highly recommend this book for any knitter's library.
