*update* The company has made every effort after my review to resolve the issues with the collars I received. They were open to criticism and wanted to see their product improve in the future. There was no problem with the replacement I received other than one having a slightly lower output voltage than the other, but that is a very small difference and is to be expected between the ecollars. If you are looking for a good e-collar with good customer service/quality control then I would recommend buying this one. If you end up with a faulty device, just email the company and they will be happy to fix it. You have no range, the dog goes behind a tree and it doesn't work even if you're only a few feet away from you. The collar consistently won't turn on unless I plug it in for 2 seconds to charge, after which it magically recharges! Which sucks when we don't have a power outlet nearby (like on a camping trip) to *jump up* when it's time to go. I know the collar can go into sleep mode, but it doesn't. As for the shock not working, I don't mean my dogs don't care about the shock, I mean both collars don't shock at all. The little tester they come with is faulty, it says both collars work on the discharge and even show a brighter light the higher the setting (set to 16, max). But when my dogs encountered something that made them willing to ignore the beeps and rumbles, I figured the electric shock would save them from death. NO! As soon as I got home I fully charged both collars and the remote and then used their 'tester' to see if the shock worked and it said it worked! But when I put my hand on the pins and pressed the discharge button at max level, NOTHING! HE JUST WAKES UP! I didn't even feel a single tingle on either collar! The only reason I bought the new eco collars was because I wanted to use two collars with one remote control, which was not the case with their old collars. It sucks that I've just wasted over $60 on something that's going in the trash can.
