Review on 🚪 Rubbermaid FG708500MICHR Double Door Storage Cabinet by Shawn Quick

This cabinet let me down. Not enough to play around with returns, but it's definitely not what I expected. I have had Rubbermaid products in the past that were of very high quality, but this cabinet is not. It's made of lightweight, cheap, hollow plastic, so poorly cut I had to drill through pieces of skin to assemble the pieces, and so thin that any force applied during assembly deforms the wall panels. Also, there are plastic cutouts in the doors and wall panels so they rattle every time I open them. Assembly isn't difficult, but that doesn't mean it's easy. The parts do not fit together very well, which means that excessive pressure has to be applied in places, which can lead to the deformations mentioned above. The architectural style also renders any locks on the doors useless as the cabinet can be disassembled very easily by a child. I suppose you could glue the pieces together but I would worry about the cement setting before you can attach each piece. There's enough room for what I wanted and for the light work I plan to use, it'll be fine, but I'll probably fill in some gaps to try and make it more waterproof before putting anything in it. All in all it will do what I need but I'm very disappointed in the quality.
